as promised...trip #2

I guess we can't get tired of The museum of Science and Industry. This time about 25 people went, all totally different from last time.

Afterwards we went to Chinatown.....
Check out the cop car and the security camera! lol...even in Chinatown

Last week Sammy, Robert and I organized a field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry.
After getting over 60 kids signed up , only 20 actually made it. However, they were a great group of kids who found things like this fun and interesting!

Afterwards we went to a book store.....

and then to the Pier...

We're planning another trip to the Museum for next week...wish us luck!

(no subject)

So, as we were leaving our scholarship interview today (by "we" I mean 6 other kids from school), we ran into a cute little display of COPS at chinatown. As we're crossing the street, we look ahead and see a cop car turning on its lights and speeding through the sidewalk. Mind you, cars don't usually go around sidewalks just for fun. They save that for special events such as the taste, Puerto Rican parade, and late night strolls.
Anyways, we see this kid running away from the car, towards us. The car got so close to him that the kid bumped into the mailbox in front of him. He hit the mailbox so hard, anyone withing a block heard the noise.  As hilarious as that sounds, it was a little sad. Okay, The little kid got up and kept running, now moving the spectacle to the middle of the street. The officer got out of the car chased the kid for a while then pinned him down, while we all cheered him on...kidding.  It would have been great to take a picture but my phone call was more important. I'm sure it'll happen again sometime next week...

"Frustration, although quite painful at times, is a very positive and essential part of success." Guess what I've done for the past two weeks during 6th period (physics class)...That's right, Frustration.
